Dr. Caban Alizondo is the director of health information management services for UCLA Health System in Los Angeles, CA. She is an AHIMA Board Director, and a member of the Defense Health Board and Health Systems Sub-Committee, and has served as president of the California Health Information Association. A fierce advocate, she endeavors to elevate the practice of information professionals across the health care continuum by engaging frequently on topics that influence the profession, including strategic change management, data integrity and governance, operational technology integrations, leadership, advocacy, health IT and health equity.

Prior to her work with UCLA Health, Dr. Caban Alizondo served in a variety of roles across the health information space including as Director of EHR Integrity at Stanford Health, and Director of Health Information Management at St. John’s Health Center, and Providence Health.
